Pulled the Trigger in Daytona for a Road King Classic
Went to Daytona on my Sportster 48 and left with a 2012 Road King Classic. The wifey and I went over on the 1st weekend and it rained all Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We spent some time at Destination Daytona and looked at a Road King Classic in the Tequila Sunrise which my wife really liked. She tried to talk me into buying it but I was hesitant. Went home on Sunday and thought some about it and went back (We live 150 miles away) on Thursday and the Tequila Sunrise was gone. Talked to the Salesman and he said he had one in Miami. I negotiated and wasn't real happy with the deal and was gonna walk. He came back with what I thought was a much better deal on a Vivid Black one. Got a good trade on my Sporty, money off MSRP and waiving of dealer prep, transportation and wheel option. SOLD!!
The ride home was glorious compared to the ride over on the Sporty. Couldn't be happier. Here's a pic although I'm sure you've all seen a bone stock FLHRC.
I've always had a personal preference for black and chrome motorcycles. And for it to be a Road King, the quintessential Harley Davidson model, well it just don't get any better.
Doesn't matter if we've all seen one, this one is yours! Congrats on the new scoot. Were you the guy in the delivery area at Rossmeyers on Thursday with the big grin that I saw while mine was being serviced?

HaHa - probably one of many. I can't believe how many bikes they were moving.
