Default dyna beads question

i recently replaced my old (dunlop) front tire with a new one (metzler) from jake wilson, everthing went fine with the replacement and i added the two ounces of dyna beads as indicted for my 130/18 front tire. Well, i still have a bit of a bump at high speed. Should i add more dyna beads or have i added too much at 2 ounces? the chart says two ounces. any feedback would be helpful. this is my first experience with dyna beads so i am trying to avoid over doing it.

by the way as a matter of information, prior dunlop was silky smooth for the entire 18K miles it was mounted and yes, i did remove all the weights from the wheel.

thoughts?

Let the air out & reinflate. I had a tire that the bead did not seat properly. Good luck.

It wouldn't matter if you had left the weights on or not, the beads will compensate. My queation is how long after mounting the tire did you waite before adding the beads. If the tire was still wet inside with lubricant to help the tire to seat, the beads may be clumping, and causeing the out of balance. Just a thought. I always waite a couple of days or in my case now, a week. Last week, I installed a new front tire and going to all 2oz of dyna beads this weekend.

added the beads approx 30 minutes after mounting. If they are clumping, how do you get them to un clump? do i need to break the tire back down and vacuum the beads out and re-install. that would be a PIA

you can put the bike on a lift and spin the wheel you should be able to hear the beads spin freely in the wheel .

Might need to put some miles on to get the tire up to temp. This should "unclump" the beads if that is the problem. Just a thought. I use the beads and have not had any issues yet.

You may take the tire off the bike and bounce it on the floor to brake up the beads.

Their Snake Oil take the tire to be balanced and you will see.

I went through a similar issue tried up to 4oz of dyna beads and my front tire still vibrated terribly at any seed around 85
my indy threw away the dyna beads and balanced the tire and all is good he checked the balance of the beads and they did nothing in my case to help.

I can't get them thru the valve stem. And yes I removed the core from the valve stem.
Any ideas?
