Glad I found this thread. I was riding my 09 SG the other day and said to myself "these stock speakers suck". This is my first bagger and bike with a radio. One thing that needs to change is the speakers. Have to order these to install when I'll have the faring off in a few weeks.

Did the same thing, took delivery with a set of boom speakers and tweeter pod attached.
Just came back fron daytona, logged a few hundred miles and took her around the paces. Taking into account the break in period. I had my HOG puttering at around 70- 95. And they were clear. Some distortion when ya cranked it yo, but adjusting the bass and treble accordingly fixed that issue. I don't have an ipod, so I use my Google phone with pandora and 16 gigs of music available. Makes for a great set up. I recommend this for anyone on q budget .
