ok so a buddy of mine has a 09 SG with stage one, SE204 cams, dyno tuned & wants to be able to do wheelie.
i know its a touring bike & so does he but this isnt really a debate cause hes going to do it, i was just trying to get your feed back from the ones who are wheelieing there SG or RG.
it would be easier if he changed his forward and rear belt sprockets and a lot cheaper if you have him do a google search on harley crank run out problems before he starts. I think it's real cool to watch guy's put their bikes up on one wheel. I saw a guy come on to a 8 lane divided high way from an on ramp on one wheel. It was real cool to watch as he slammed into the guard rail in the middle of the highway.
I know you said it wasn't about whether or not he is going to try this but....Talk about a good way to damage a touring bike. I guess some folks "do" first and "think" later, much later. I hope he doesn't get hurt. Try to talk him out of it. If he is in to stunting, he should try a bike designed for that purpose. He is going to ***** up the bike and maybe himself. Nothing good can come of this.
One of these days, if he lives long enough, his reduced testosterone levels will help him make better decisions.
I was a wheelie machine growing up. Now I value my bikes and front wheels more than back then. Have him go find a 250 Rebel and wheelie that until he gets it out of his system, or falls on his *** enough to want to stop.
