I currently have V&H true duals with 4" V&H slipons, which are extremely loud. My question is: If I get quieter slipons, will I have to get the ECM reflashed. I've thought about getting a PCV, but checked with HD Service Manager and he said when a non HD ECM goes on, the warranty goes off. So don't want to take any chances with that.
I agree with Stroh, but would further reccomend a fuel management system. The "HD Gods" always try to scare you with this tactic, but it's all B.S. And to avoid the problem of arguing with them over warranty coverage, if you ever have a problem, just take it off before going to the dealer and don't tell them about it. This subject's come up a million times before, and for Harley to actually deny you coverage, they'd have to prove that whatever problem you had, had to be caused directly by the fuel management system you're using. If it ever came up, just remove it and don't tell them and they won't know, so you wouldn't have to argue the situation with them.

well, there you go. since the pcv is not an ecm, you should be fine.
i hate these ******* that threaten you with voided warranties for every little thing you do, 'oh, you have to use genuine hd air for your tires or your warranty is void'.....
unfortunately, many of them do it, and many of them get away with it.
