Best part of the River Run is Laughlin, you can drink without having to worry about driving home. Worst part about Laughlin is Laughlin, and paying 125 or so for a 19 dollar room. Used to be worse, in 05 I remember paying something like $700 for 3 nights, VIP parking, and a concert. Usually a good turnout of vendors, worth going if you can...
Went in 06 and it was great. Lots of cool vendors back then. Last time was in 08 and more of a flea market and less quality vendors. So I am going this year and hopefully it will be fun. Hell, just getting out and riding with friends is a good time. Oatman, Kingman, Hoover Dam. Where is Red Rock Canyon?? Might want to check that out. See ya there!
Was scheduled to go, but...............wife had a brain aneurysm last week. One brain surgery down, and possibly one more to go. Hopefully she'll recover enough to one day be on the back of the bike again.

Sorry to hear that Glacier - praying for a speedy recovery.
As for Laughlin - this will be my first year. I'm really hoping that its not "methy" - Staying at the Tropicana - assuming my bike gets here in time. Still waiting on my replacement after totaling the Heritage last week...just look for the black Road King Classic with the temp plate and a hot blonde on back
