Paris Harley Davidson and Forman HD in Stillwater OK were the only two dealers I could find within 150 miles from me that charge $0 dollars for setup and I have at least 8 HD dealers within that distance from me.
I got about $1500 off my 08 CVO Springer coming back from Iraq that year.
On my 2003 Night Train that I bought when I was in Japan (2001-2004), I saved about 4K total. But, I guess that the New Car Sales are getting greedy now. You still will save some when you buy all of the extended warranty or buying the next years bike for this year price, but not that much anymore.
I am in Afghanistan now and the last time that I was here in 2005, we also got another 500 off for being in a combat zone, but they cut that out too.
everyone needs a way to get rid of STRESS, believe me this would go a long way in that department..go get the bike and enjoy your stress reliever (with your wife on the back)....
LOL! You HAVENT seen the "bottom line" number yet, they dont show that to you UNTIL the paperwork is drawn up. Get back to us after they show you that back in the sweat room!
Do you HAVE to have a brand new bike? The economy is awful, and there are plenty of used bikes on the market. I'd be if you're patient you can find a 2010 or 2011 FLHX with super low miles, that's well accessorized for well under what a dealer will charge you. Brand new is nice, but barely used for less money and with a bunch of add-ons is even nicer (to me anyway).
My wife and I were eating bread and beans when we had a 2 year old at home. That was 27 years ago though. Guess times have changed. I never thought I would ever be able to afford an HD. I was very happy riding metrics for years at half the price. Finally after 28 years of marriage the wife said go get what you want. Just a little advice though. Just because a lender says you can afford the payment doesn't mean you can.
I got mine out the door at MSRP with no add ons and they gave me a 1000.00 extra on my trade. Bosie Id. was they only other dealer that was even close in the Pacific Northwest.
Two thousand under MSRP +tax OTD is a GREAT deal. I see people posting on here all the time about the great deals that get but I am going to tell you. Most of them are FOS!!! No matter what deal you get one of the resident "master negotiator's is going to tell you they bought their bike cheaper...Again, I call BS on 95% of them...The SG is Harley's most popular selling bike and this is PRIME selling season. If you can truly afford it, I would snap that up in a second. I could fly there and get it and turn a profit selling it here for that in a private sale...
