Those ground down floorboards are like a rite of passage on a StreetGlide. A badge of courage if you will.
Even more-so on an ElectraGlide. Wear them proudly.

Mine were perfect on my Ultra Classic when I bought it. I only put 750 miles on it before tearing it apart to add some engine and they are both scraped up now. A friend has titanium under his, makes awesome sparks in the dark.

Ok, so How should my body position should have been? I really didnt change position from my upright normal sitting position from cruising dowm the highway before the exit ramp

Proper, is semantics here, for cruisers, you are riding properly, sport bike, and competion riders hang off their bikes to the inside, so they can get a little more performance.... From what I see here, few riders drag their boards, but if you are, if you hang off, or displace your body to the inside of the turn, you can take the turn a little faster, before parts drag. It is no biggie, does not hurt to be aware though, as it can give you an edge when you need it.......just more poor Harley design.....my old 57 would drag the boards and they would fold up if you were runnin hard thru a corner, so you knew you were approaching the limit....on these new bikes when hard parts drag, you are at the limit. There is no leeway....jmho

To a point. Again there are so many variables here is kinda pointless unless you want to start another thread about motorcycle physics. Slow speed tight turning should be counter wighted while high speed riding is the opposite.

We're saying the same thing but a good bit is being lost in translation due to not being able to actually TALK.

Two things you could have done to prevent scraping, slide you're *** part way off the seat towards the inside of the turn, or slow down a little before you lean the bike over.
