Got my bike out at noon and went back to work. Heading home less than 10 miles and get hit from behind while sitting at a light. The impact shot the bike out from under me and sent me about 8-10 feet from where I was sitting and the bike ended up on the other side of the intersection. Ironically I came out with just some heavy bruising and some small cuts/scrapes. I find out tomorrrow if the bike is totalled.
The question I have is on the 2012 Street Glide with the 103. I had the 103 Stage II with some pretty good numbers on my 08 but wanted to know how the stock 103 on the 12 is doing. I would definitley do pipes and intake but was wondering if cams will be necessary. Any input on mods to the stock 103 and numbers would be highly appreciated.
First of all glad you are ok. A good stage 1 on a 103 will really wake it up. It is pretty easy to go with a good exhaust,hi flow filter, and cams and be over the 100 tq mark.

You are definitely going to have to do at least a stage l.I rode a '12 RK with a 103 after totalling my '11 softail, and it was a frigging slug.Bought a '10 with a stage ll and only 6 thou on it instead.Thing hauls ***.
When sitting at a light always "give yourself an out" and watch your mirrors closely. I'm not saying you could have avoided being hit I'm just saying you gotta watch.

No pun intended but hindsight is always 20/20; I don't think the OP gave us all the facts on the accident to tell if he could have reacted differently.
Definitely gonna want a minimum of a Stage 1. With a stage 1 (stock head pipes) I had my 2011 Limited dyno tuned & got 76hp & 90 tq. With a set of Woods cams I think you would be much happier & it will be a lot closer to what your used to! Glad to hear you walked away somewhat unhurt.
