Default Exhaust question 2012 street glide

Hey, just got my 2012 street glide in the tequila orange. I love it. But its to quite. My dad has an 06 Ultra with the 88 motor on it. He has rhinehart true duals but took them off cause he iddnt have a power commander to adjust the computer. my question is can i take just the slip ons from it and put them on the new street glide? Also will slip ons make it loud at highway speeds as we do alot of trips and i dont want it to be so loud i cant hear the radio on the high way. Thanks for the help

I don't think they will fit. I believe the Rinehart slip-ons from the TD set-up are a different diameter that just regular slip-ons made to work with stock header pipes.

And slip-ons will be louder than stock. But not so loud they are annoying while crusing.

I had a 2005 FLHT and had the Reinhart true duels...way to freaking loud to enjoy a long ride. Just got rid of the 2005 and picked up a 2012 Road Glide. Wanted some slipons with a little growl but not so loud you could not hear the radio at 80 MPH. Also did not want to mess with the head pipes again and with the 2012 having the CAT, did not want to mess with it. Found just what I wanted at www.americancustoms.com. They take your stock mufflers, chop them off on the end anyway ya want them, gut out whatever it is HD puts in them, adds their system and sends them back to you. They sound great!!! Just enough rumble to sound good but never to loud to blow your ears out. Check them out!

Garemlin is right...if your dad had the whole true dual system including head pipes, then the slip ons will be for a 2 inch head pipe. The stock headers on HDs are 1.75 inch so obviously the Rineys won't fit.
