Well, the way I look at it, ya get what ya pay for. My '94 Dyna has a 15+ year old sealed H-D battery in it that works just as well as it did the day I got it. To me, that's a pretty good value. I'll never buy any other brand.
Are you sure that your alternator or regulator hasn't taken a crap? I've been through one of each, but the battery's still goin' strong.

The last time I rode it the charge meter was reading 14 volts. I just got through checking the charging voltage at 13.9 to 14.2 volts.

Having worked at a Harley Dealership as a Service Writer last year, I can assure you there are guys out there that can not install their own battery or tighten battery clamps without breaking something. Amazing huh!!
Just ordered one for my ultra trike. Saved $60.00 over batteries plus.
(got one there last year and it alread took a crap. They won't stand behind it either.)
