Where are you guys getting tires these days? I have a 2010 RG with 16,200 miles on the stock tires and they are getting low on tread. Dealership wants $275 for the rear and $178 to install the front and rear. Didn't bother getting a price on the front tire after hearing $275 for the front. I am happy with the stocks being that I got 16,200 out of them so far but I am open to suggestions.
Jake Wilson seems to be a favorite here. But I would take a serious look at rhe Michelin Commander IIs. They are supposed to be very good with about double the mileage of the stock tires.
Since you've got a 10 RG the only exact match would be the stock D407 & D408, 18" front & 16" rear. New Castle HD in PA has them for $160.32 frt & $218.72 rr + shipping. Dunlop has released the American Elite that some above are referring to, but as of yet they haven't released it in the 130/70-18 needed on the RG & SG. You can go with the rear AE & run the Dunlop Elite3 130/70-18 front, same manufacturer & construction. There are good reports on both the Am Elite & Elite3 & it should be a very close match. AmericanMotoTire has them for $145.88 frt & $182.72 rr with free shipping, they seem to be beating everbody else's price this Spring. Probably $75-100 difference between the 2 when you add in shipping, that's probably your best 2 choices.

I just had Michelin Commander II's put on my bike on Friday. Only put about 12 miles on them coming home. Been tied up all weekend. Can't go riding and can't hardly wait to see how they do. My buddy put over 21K on his last set. If they are as good as everyone says I am also hoping for at least 20K out of them. Happy Trails...
My problem so far has been finding front and rear to match. Is it as important on a bike as it is on a car/truck to have matching tread patterns? The only tread design that was matching so far for front and rear was the stocks and I am not sure I want to go that way now after reading some reviews
