CB for my street glide
On my wife's Heritage I installed the J&M CB2003 setup and also installed the J&M on my M109R They work very nicely but are not the prettiest thing on the handlebars..

Except for the J&M, most others involve a handheld CB.
I ended up installing the HD for the same reason as others--it's the cleanest installation.

But I didn't like the idea of the antennas sticking up on the back.
I love the clean rear of the Road Glide (and clean look of the street Glide).
So I installed the hidden Radio and CB antenna along with the CB.

If you don't want/need the passenger headset connector and PTT/vol feature included in the above kit, you may be able to buy the other kit components separately and save a few $$$.
Good luck with your project.

We did try the Scala Rider setup first - used it for about 25 miles, pulled over and took them off, sold them on Ebay. They cost 1/3 as much as doing it right, and delivered 1/10th of the performance but 100x the aggravation.
The HD setup is first-class, and priced accordingly. We have had occasion to use them at extra-legal speed, and they work. I ride with a 3/4 helmet, the wife uses a half. Hers proved to be a challenge - we finally went with the HD boom headset and used J&M speaker pouches velcroed to her helmet and strap. It's much easier with a 3/4. Grandson has a 3/4 as well, and likes to ride behind me and listen in.
If I had it to do over, I'd pull the trigger on the HD setup again. We chose to run the full-length CB antenna opposite the stock radio antenna, as we wanted the maximum range and kinda like the look. The wife really enjoys it when someone notices the second antenna - especially if they try to tell her "It CAN'T be a Street Glide - it's got two antennas!" She just grins and tells them her husband just can't get enough of her voice....
Truth be told, we get a lot of use out of the CBs. We like to ride, and it's handy to be able to communicate clearly and quickly. I am almost always the lead, and I don't have to watch for signals in the mirrors. I can call out hazards or sights to see, and she can call a stop whenever she needs one. We're headed to Alaska late this summer, and I'm sure we'll use the CBs a bunch on that trip.
I have no regrets about having spent the money to go with the HD setup. Nothing else even comes close.

My '09 came with the left Hand control. But you will need to buy the Left hand control with PTT/Audio controls. They can be found on eBay. According to the part catalog, the bike control switches changed. But not the radio controls. They are the same from 1998.
I did have the JM setup prior to getting the HD components, but like was pointed out above, it is a hunker on the bars draggin wind....not very clean at all.
