You buy the right side chrome lower switch housing, p/n 711612-96, from the Ultra chrome swtich housing kit (http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...ts/-J00445.pdf) to acommodate the audio and cruise switches, and swap out the switches/parts from the right hand switch housings supplied with the cruise control kit. Cost of the lower housing is about $25 or so.
If you have chrome switch caps, you will buy the smaller audio switch cap from the chrome switch cap kit HD sells for Ultras since the normal audio switch cap is too large to use with the cruise switch cap. The audio switch cap will cost about $2.50. You'll notice the size difference if you compare the black audio switch cap supplied with the cruise kit to the chrome switch cap you currently have.
The switch housing information assumes you have HD housings. If you have aftermarket housings, check with the vendor for the lower right housing you'll need. And don't assume an HD lower housing will be compatible with the aftermarket upper housing.
As for modifying the lower right housing you have, you should probably start a new thread and ask specific questions. The HD housing uses a different part to secure the audio and cruise switches in the right side than is used with the audio switch alone. Don't know if this is the same with aftermarket housings.
