How much should I expect to spend on a new back tire for my 06 RK. I plan to stick with the Dunlop D402. I'm gonna go with aregular black tire though. So how much can I expect to spend at the stealer for the tire and having them put it on. Thanks guys
Anywhere from 125.00 to 175.00 ... depending. Tires are a big game for Harley's. Try www.motosport.com ... or anyone of a 100 other places on the web. Once in a while ... the dealer will run a special ... call them first.
Sounds good.....I have just over 10,000 miles on my bike. I jsut want to make sure I don;t get screwed over. Would you buy a tire elsewhere and have someone mount it?

Sure. Do it all the time. Ask around your area for an independant shop, with a GOOD rep. Maybe even a rice dealer. Dealer prices are generally too high for a tire mount. Like I said ... sometimes they run deals ... especially in the winter.
I buy my tires off the net and mount them myself. Dunlop WWW's are about $110.00 shipped to my door. However, I have an indy buddy that will mount a tire for youif you carry the wheel in for 20 bucks. I'm sure you could find the same in your area.
I always put on new pads on the rear when I change a tire.
Brake job? Is that fancy grease monkey, opps sorry "technician", talk for taking out 2 pad pins and popping in a set of pads? I wouldn't replace my pads at tire change unless they needed replaced. You can do them just as easy with the wheel on the bike. It usually takes me less than 10 minutes.
mtosport.com site is pretty cool. Good advice I'll check my brake pads as well. I did not think of that. I'm still looking for a good price on theDunlops. I found 139.99 at motosport. Not a bad price....I'm still looking though
