Thumbs up Changing Colors

I recently bought a 2003 Ultra Classic Anniversary Edition.

The bike is great shape, but needs to be painted.

My question is this, should I stick with the original color (solid black with the HD gold and white stripe) or should I change to another color?

I like the idea of midnight blue. What I'd really like to know is will changing the color diminish the value if decide to sell it down the line?

I do have the replacement decals that went along with this particular bike.

Any input is much appreciated.

I sold one, it wasnt worth any more than a non anniversary ultra. Your bike, paint it blue if you want.

Actually, a nice blue with that stripe kit might look pretty cool. You would get alot of questions whether it was factory or not.

I had my 105th painted two months after I bought it.

Resale value doesn't matter, high mileage destroyed that a long time ago.

Pick a color you like and go for it.

I had my '03 Heritage Springer repainted this winter...really, I had it restored.

My HS is the silver/black, and for me, it was important to keep it original.

It's a personal decision....

When I get mine done it will be a "custom" version of the silver/black paint scheme....no tape.

In 2003 Harley sold like over 350,000 bikes worldwide. Almost all of them were the black and silver anniversary colors. Yeah, they are limited editions for sure. Paint it.
