Talking Just pulled the trigger...

Been a rider almost 40 years, spending the last 10 enjoying the hell out of my FXSTDI Deuce. But I have been wanting a Road King for the last 5 of that. Mama and I like to take long rides and I like the comfort and ability to carry a few things offered by the tourers.

So I decided that now is the time. 2 days ago I brought home a new 2012 FLHR. I can't wait to get out and ride it more. (It seems that winter has returned to Upstate NY though.)

I will likely pay the "Harley Tax" and do the typical mods that everyone does, slip-ons, air intake, trim, etc. I'll be looking to the forum for all kinds of tips and info and know this is a heck of a resource. Now if the weather will turn back around....

Enjoy the new bike. With the weather keeping you inside, now is a great time to start the mods.

When you go out to look at it... take some PICS !!

Yup we got a little cold snap down here in the valley too. Last october I bought the heated jacket liner and gloves and it extended my riding all through the winter except one week while it was in the shop for mods.
It has been the best winter ever !! Congrats and hope ya get out there soon.

Yeah, you're right about the pix. I should have been all over that from the start. All I have are cellphone pictures but glad to share them. This one was at the dealer's warehouse just before the trigger pull...

This is a shot of the other side, a little closer...

And finally here she is safely at home in the garage...

With any kind of luck I may get to put on a few miles and get past the initial break-in mileage.
