Default Lowering the front end?

I got the chrome front end for Christmas and was thinking of lowering the front end when I put it on.I've already lowered the rear and I love it but I'm not sure if I'll like the whole bike slammed.I know I'll like the looks and the seat hight (I'm 5'6"). The only thing that concerns Me is ground clearance and dragging the boards. So what do you guys that have done it think?Help Me out here Fellows.I need to make a decision so I can get the parts ordered for the job this weekend.By the way,it going on an Electra Glide Classic (if it matters)

Thanks!
Craig

I think mine has the 1" progressive lowering kit... it looks OK, but it caused bottoming out of my covers on the fender to fork location. It may be the adapters I have, but I had to alter the cans to allow them to compress beyond hitting.

I installed the front lowering kit on my SG. It only lowers it about an inch, helps me get feet planted. I don't have any problems with clearence. Obviouly you'll be a little lower but not a big deal. I like it.

The Progressive kit can lower the front 1" or 2".Hill Country Custom Cycles (E-bay) was the source formy kit. I now have the front lowered 1" which doesn't affect ride height or ride qualityas much as I'd have thought. Lowering the back seemed to have moreof an effect. Visually, the bike appears better leveled though.

Wisdom gained from experience: DO NOT LOWER THE FRONT OF A BAGGER 2"!!! This really screws up the handling andlets thefront bottom out - ding on the fender to remind me of this lesson [:@]

I have the front and rear of my bike lowered 1 1/4 inch and I love it. I used the Progressive kit to do mine. I have the So Low brackets on the rear. I have had no problems at all since lowering my bike and I love the way it handles in the curves.

If you are worried that by loweringthe front1" the bottom of the trees may hit the fender you can do whatI did which is lower the fender 1" also; this restores the factory distance between the bottom of the trees and top of fender.A number of companies make lowering brackets or will sell you a complete fender. The photo shows the lowered front fender. Compare it to a bike with the stock fender height.

You should lower the front to level out the bike as mentioned lower in the thread, companies such as progressive, white bros etc all have applications...If you are going to do it you should do it all at once.
I lowered my 2004 Road king 1 1/4 front and 1 in rear, but I am riding a set up of 21 front 18 rear

Rides great I would concider going lower in rear BUT dimensions of 18 will not allow it for the sake of botoming out.
