I have been debating on getting a lowering bracket. I talked to Gary on the phone from RUB for over 30 minutes this morning. He seemed knowledgable and said an 1 3/4 lowering kit would be perfect for normal ridi occasoinal two up and will not scrape the wires underneath on a SG. Just wodering if anyone has bought one out there?
Gary installed RUB 1.5" lowering kit on my Ultra. Bottomed out too much even when riding single. I'm about 225#. Got rid of em and bought Works Performance shocks that lowered my seat to ground about an inch. More expensive but worth every penny.
I had the so-lo and bottomed out constantly. Went with the Draggin baggers air-ride and ruined 2 wiring harnesses. Guess ledgends air ride is all that is left!!

A budyy said his legends is harsh. He road my bike with the draggin bagger system and said it felt pretty much the same. I never had a chance to ride his though to compare, BUT his bike was within a 1/8" of mine so i am thinking his wire harness rubs too. He just does nto ride it that low so it is not a problem.
Im short, I need the lower stance. I think with a RUB kit keeping the factory shocks I will be able to retain a portion of that stock ride. WE will see.
I tried the RUB 1 3/4" kit on my Street Glide and it rubbed the rear fender with anything less than 25 psi in the rear shocks, forget 2 - up riding. The best I found was the So-Lo 1 1/4" kit. I was able to ride solo with 15 psi without any rubbing and two-up with about 25-28 without any rubbing (I'm 185 lbs she's 150 lbs). Bottoming out rarely occured with either kit.
I'm getting ready to take off a set of RUB lowering blocks. They bottom out too much even with the recomended air pressure. If you want them for $50 email me and we can hook you up.
I tried the RUB and So-Lo. Bottomed out with both, by myself a couple time and always two-up. I weight #190. It would not on small bumps, but would for sure going over tracks etc. I finally went with the progressive shocks.
