Clutch Adjustment Question

Coming home from work the other day, I throttled up while passing an 18 wheeler. When I really got into the throttle, the RPM's shot up and the green 6th gear light went out. When I got home, I let the motor get cold, per the manual, and tried adjusting the clutch. All was fine until I tried to get that 1/8 inch gap between the cable and the clutch handle. I could not get the cable to move. Its not stuck on the clutch handle, I just can't get it to slide through the fairing. Was wondering if the cable may be routed the wrong way after it goes through the fairing. Any Ideas are appreciated. Thanks. The bike is a 2007 EG Ultra Classic.

front of engine inside black accordion shaped rubber housing use wrenches to loosen cable 1/2 inch and 9/16 wrench the cable will get longer not the black housing just the cable
