i have recently purchased the slammer set up (burly) with the 2inch lowering and was wondering if anyone else has fitted one to a road king classic and how does it stack up from stock please ?
just put it on my flhr looks great.. you'll have to do something to your kickstand because it stands straight up.. the ride isn't that bad but its not that great either.. i have mine on the second from top setting me and my wife ride 2 up all the time and have yet to bottom out..
i ride on my own on a 2006 road king classic with 16"apes so wanted the low n phat look and its coming to the me from California and is in the country so just waiting for mr postman to bring it to me
hopefully have it on this weekend if it comes tomorrow, well hold on ill be fitting it tomorrow if it comes lol
lol i would recomend the top or second to top setting on the shocks.. they will break in very quickly.. i've put about 500 miles on mine and actually moved it up to the second to top setting.. they have gotten much softer..
just keep in mind.. we're talking about a 10.5 inch shock so me saying its soft is very subjective lol
I swapped my 13" air shocks for 11" Bitchen Bagger Drop Shocks . The bike stood up to straight on the kickstand so i got a kickstand wedge kit from Dennis Kirk made buy Drag Specialtys . it changes the angle of the kick stand . cheaper than a shorter kick stand .
while your installing it you can raise your floor boards .
lol on the softer ride and yer i want the slammed look and to the floor feel even though i dont need it i just think it looks awsome
and im going to keep it stock on the floorboards and see how i go but mr postman didnt bring my kit today so im an unhappy chappy at the mo as wanted it on for the bank holiday were having at the mo
oh well something to look forward to when they do arrive and can someone post a pic or some of there ride stock to slammed please ?
you really can't tell in the pics.. theres nothing to compare it to.. heres a shot of it.. crappy cell phone pick.. you can notice the drop in the forks (where it falls on the fender) and the amount of rear tire showing.. compared to my sig pic.. i would def go with the top setting adjusted it and it handles the curves much better... over all this is a decent kit but for 200 bucks you do get what you pay for
