Default So long, see you on the road somewhere

It's been a great 6 years on my 2 Harleys and the guys here have been a great help when I needed it. Hope you all have many safe rides and I'll hope to meet you out there someday. The recent HD CEO plan of ridding this great land of all the small "Mom&Pop" dealers has left a really bad feeling in me. My "Mom&Pop" dealer, Pierce's was closed in the grand plan and left a really nice old lady crying wondering why after 55 years Harley would yank the rug out from under her family. Then I found out it's happening all over so they can open huge Walmart style stores that are all the same. All the while preaching "Own a Harley, be one of a kind..." Nothing bad to say at all about my bikes. They were both great rides and neither gave me a lick of trouble in over 60,000 miles. I would still recommend them to prospective buyers.

So, I'm trading my CVO in on a 2012 Victory Ness Cross Country this week. Very nice handling bike, test rode them several times over the last 2 years. All I need to do is add a trunk and I'm set for the roads.

No hard feelings here with the group or the bikes. Stay safe guys and girls!
Spike

Sounds more like you're just looking for a reason to change brands... That's okay, just be honest with yourself and us.

No, I'm not just looking to change. I don't like big corps that push out the little guys. HD's CEO nearly bankrupted the company he was CEO of before, Johnson Controls. Now he's working his "Magic" at Harley. As I said, I love my Ultra, been everywhere from Key West to Vancouver and more and she was great every mile of the 30k I have on her. You can think what youlike, but those that know me, know that isn't the way I live

Doesn't matter what you ride, just that you ride. Stay safe out there.

Have fun on your Victory. I almost bought one myself a couple of years ago.

I test drove a Victory 4-5 years ago. Handled well and fast. I just couldn't get past the styling. Good luck with your new ride.

So you dont shop at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Albertsons, Rei, Bass Pro, Chevron, Texaco, Shell etc etc etc.....you only shop at small mom and pop places to support them in all your business dealings right?

Right, dont let the HD door hit ya on the way out!
