Coast-to-coast on a Busa is just a day trip Shouldn't need to carry much.

Im not ditching my Harley, but its easy to see why people are switching brands...issue here, issue there.. stuff that shouldn't be a issue at all!
Sorry I haven't read all 10 pages, but Rick is a Victory dealer at Strokers' in Dallas, and the Ness family obviously has a large stake in Victory. Not sure they are objective observers.

Agree with that point completely. But that being said, they may not be embellishing all that much! The victory is a well made machine and super comfortable. I took a ride on the cross country and absolutely loved it.

But at the time, they did not make a trunk for it. Not a big deal to a harley person, but when youre dealing with a brand that has almost no aftermarket options, its a big deal. A year later they came out with the "ultra" cross country. Had it been out when i took the test ride, i may have taken one home...

You post my '12 has this problem and a bunch of guys post my '04 doesn't do that like that will make you feel better. You heard the noise ('07) and I heard the noise and ids came standard on '08 baggers, duh, and this idea that to complain about your harley is unamerican doesn't help, either. Just keep telling the truth and we will sort thru the nonsense.

Well sitting here at my home dealer getting the misaligned hinges on my tour pack replaced under warranty, upgrading to the premiums(just paying the diff between the stock and premium). When I told him about my regulator going in AZ he said you are lucky it lasted that long, he is replacing many here in South Fla. Thinking back to all the other issues I had with my other Harleys, mostly engineering design issues I really don't think I will get another Harley. The dealer service has always been great so not knocking them at all.

Oh, Hog Doc, I am not whining like a little girl, I am bitching and crying like a HOG member. I am not a HOG member and CAN actually ride across the country on just about any bike. I see why you are getting offended. I apologize to you and all like you for any feelings of inadequacy you might feel from my posts.

I can hardly imagine your sense of frustration and sympathize with you. Just thinking maybe you should give MOCO a little time to get the issues with the regulator straightened out. Or perhaps take a step back in time, pick up maybe an 09 or another year that has less issues. Just sayin' is all...

I'm pretty new to the HD world, and joined this forum as a member for lots of great feedback on everything from learning to ride an UC, to what's a good shield. I bought an HD cus I wanted too. Like anything else mechanical there will be problems or issues. Some like Ford, hate Chevy, love Dodge, Toyota sucks, blah, blah, blah. What torques me is if I wanted to read about how great a Victory or other bike maybe, I would go to a forum for that MOCO. But to have someone come on an HD forum and recommend going to another ain't right.

Don't disagree. Not recommending anyone go anywhere, I just know that this will be my last Harley.
