Default Center Jack

Does any one have or use this type of jack. Was looking at this as an alternative to a jack on wheels. If I jack the bike up its only for oil changes of cleaning purposes. I don't plan on pulling wheels and having to move the bike around.

I have a Blackjack. I use it all the time. It probably weighs 50 pounds, but it's stable and works well.... You can find them cheaper then this link but just google it... http://www.jcwhitney.com/black-jack-.../p2020093.jcwx

If you park your bike in a wheel chock it'll do all that for you and you can still get up underneath it to do all the holes on a service without having to move the jack around.

That's true but you can't spin the wheels for cleaning. I love my spokes but theyre a -itch to clean.

stevevfd: thanks for the link

No problem. The blackjack is nice. I don't use any of the adapters that come with it. I bought a roll of nonskid tape from Home Depot and covered the top if it with that. I use a 1/2" ratchet with 1" socket to raise and lower the bike. It'll lift the whole bike, but I use it to raise or lower the front or rear or just keep the bike level for oil changes/clutch adjustments whatever. Sure a lift is probably better, but this takes up almost no storage space, there's nothing to break, is stable, and does what I need it to do.
