Default UCEG vs RK vibration

I have had a Honda Valkyrie for years. Last year I wanted something else. I went in a Harley dealership and saw some beautiful bikes. I rented a 2011 Ultra Classic Electra Glide. After riding 2 up for about 20 miles, my legs and arms were tingling. I know it's not a valkyrie, but I'm not sure if that was normal since that was my first experience on a Harley. Well I'm looking at Harleys again and I have my eye on a 2011 Road King. Is it going to vibrate like the Ultra Classic or is there a difference in the frame or something else that might not make it vibrate as much? I plan on renting one soon, but I wanted to get the opinions from some experts first. Thanks

It's a Harley, vibration is just the nature of the beast. And I wouldn't want it any other way. You want smooth get a GW.

I've ridden Japanese bikes all my life up until 3 years ago. I've wanted a RK since they came out with that model (94 I think). Now I have one! Love the sound AND the vibration. That's part of the appeal. For me anyway.

+1. My RK vibrates like a Harley should. But never had any tingling or numbness at all.

If it's a 2011 Road King FLHR, it will have a 96 cu. in. engine. If it's a 2011 Road King Classic FLHRC, it will have ABS, Security, Cruise Control and a 103 cu. in. engine all as standard equipment. Of course the Classic costs more, but depends on what you like. Just so you know.

By the way, you can go to totalmotorcycle.com to find out a lot of info about any bike you're interested in. And check out the H-D website - they still have info on the 2011 motorcycles.

I agree with most of the post, vibrates at idle, after that its pretty smooth, its never going to be as smooth as a 6 cylinder, but no tingling here.
