Default Dropping a Road King

Hello guys,

I really need your help!

Just bought the best bike to me with the lady approval

The problem is my dealer tried to help for my height but not to complete success.

I'm short and cannot comfortably reach ground. I've got already a modified Sundowner seat but still need 1 1/2'' more.

I understand that playing with suspension got is tole but I can't see another way.

So what is in your opinion the best way to achieve while less compromising comfort ?

Couldn't settle for a Heritage by the way !

Thanks for all suggestions

Best regards,

RoadKingAllan

One easy tip (if you haven't thought of it yet) is thicker soled biker boots, can easily net you about 3/4 inch without looking overly "Orthopedic"

Oh, and I was misled by the title, I was imagining a Road King laying on it's side LOL, glad that's not the case and congrats on the King acquisition!!

You can get some more from a seat mod from Mean City Cycles.

Thanks for the tip, already done . I'm more kind of long body and short legged. Couldn't change anything to this so got to find another way !

I'm really proud of the ride !

+1 on Mean City Cycles. I did a reach seat at first and MCC is 10X better, for less! Next option is lower the rear. I'm at that stage now, but would like more so might have to lower front.

you've really got a few options: get a thinner seat, that is also narrower at the nose. that will help you reach the ground more. also, shorter shocks, which are preferable to lowering blocks, which will both affect your ride. thicker soles on your boots, and finally, just getting used to it. i have a 2010 road glide custom. i can't flatfoot either. you just have to plan your parking so as to eliminate most, if not all, backing uphill situations. either that or ask for a push

How do you lower your rear, I'm told RKC come the shorter shocks available !
