Thanks For the coments and compliments!

I just got the bike together over the last week and it is tight as hell! I used the trike trees and the front end was already lowered 2" when I had the 21" on the front.

I guess my question is do I have to raise the bike by adding spring to the forks or is there a another way to go about this so I wont hit the fender???

The ride is great, really no different than the 21" setup.

Thanks again for any input!

From the first time I looked at your awesome looking ride I was wondering how you kept the fender from hitting the skirt. If it has the lowered front I would go back to the factory set up to give more clearance. There should be a bunch out there for cheap from those who lowered their front. Depending on your mechanical aptitude it is a rather straightforward procedure. I suspect it will alter the riding dynamics tho and maybe not for the better.

I believe there is a travel limiter that you can install in the front end. Since it's lowered, maybe it's already in there. The simplist way I can think of is to lock the bike down like you would to put it on the trailer and take a good strap and pull it down slowly. If it gets close to the front fender, you're probably going to have issues. Stock length won't do it for you without limiting the travel somehow. I know that for a fact as I have crashed my front fender already as I said before. I missed out on a set of complete trike forks (read cheap!) that were already chromed (1 1/2" longer) because I didn't think I was going to have problems. Unless I can find another set, I'll have to go 2" over on my fork tubes and then lower it. I had a 21" and lowering kit on a previous FLHR and the ride with trike trees on this one is sooo much better!

Lookin good! You will need to address that front end though. I would remove the lowering kit, and get travel limiters. No easy way to do it, you will have the front end apart and together about 10 times before you get it exactly how you want it.

You will need to remove the springs and install travel limiters and set your bottom out height that way. Then, you will need to figure out how high you want your ride height and adjust the spring length accordingly.

You are going to have limited travel since you didnt do a rake kit. One of the big reasons for the HHI neck is that you raise the neck up and out to allow for more travel.

Native custom baggers sells the material needed to limit the fork travel.

Good luck with it! Ride safe!
