Default Pro Pipe Quiet Baffle

Has anyone installed the quiet baffle in a V&H pro pipe. I installed the pro pipe on my 09 EG and its pretty loud under a load or high revs. I had short shots on the wifes Cross Bones and installed the quiet baffles and it made them sound real tinny. Ended up putting the stock head pipes on and Rush slash cut mufflers. Does the quiet baffle on the pro pipe make it lose the deep sound? Thanks in advance.

I heard it makes it sound bad. I pulled my baffle out and used muffler packing for both sections to quiet it down a little. There is a section with loose stainless wrap.

Vance and Hines "quiet" baffle will lower the sound by 2-3 DB and will give it a much deeper tone. It is my opinion that they sound rather tinny with the stock baffles.

I have an 09 SG w/ Pro Pipe, PC V, and SE AC. Dynoed after the install. Gonna try the quiet baffle. If I install w/o redynoing (to test sound) how off will the performance be? Will it run ok, just rich and a bit weaker? Worse? Will I mess anything up? How much HP & torque will I loose?

I'll post before and after data once I redyno.

Every exhaust/baffle combination will re-act differently to each individual motor. Could be better performance, could be worse, only one way to find out.

Ive used the Quiet Baffles in 3 V & H Pipes, on my 05 Fatboy installed QB in both a ProPipe and a set of BSS and on my Road Glide I have the QB in my 4" Black Out Rounds. On all 3 pipes I think the sound is a little deeper and on the Fatboy it helped low end Tq.

Thanks for all your responses, I was not expecting to hear that it actually made the sound deeper. It sounds awesome with the standard baffle when going through the gears at full throttle. Its just a little obnoxious at freeway speeds for long periods of time. I think I will give it a try. Thanks again
