120r is cooked
Plus two. What exactly happened?
YIKES.......................I feel your pain though. I did a Stage IV upgrade and after 18,000 miles she gave out and I never rode it hard either.

Replace what is broken. Rebore cylinder if gouged and replace piston and rings. . Throw it back together and drive it keeping it under 3-3500K. Cost 400-500 and it will be fine. Ignore the little stuff like bearings as long as they spin free. Few rings or grooves in cams or bearings will not hurt. It will be necessary to tear it all way and get all loose trash.. mine complete destroyed the spling on the alternator and put metal in primary and side bearing thru engine seal between engine and primary. Ceaned it up and it's been fine for 10K. As long as you do not plug oil holes, the bearings will make dust out of any chips. Of course no dealer is going to say this. he is going to say new engine for 6000K since only way he can make warranty. $400 and what do you have to loose trying.....Can't do it yourself. then sorry.

I paid over $6K for a 103 stage V build at Patriot Harley in Fairfax, VA. After 30K miles the front head gasket blew. In the repair shop, the indy noticed the hardened surface of the end of the crank near the cam was worn away. He measured the runout at .019". Dug in a little more and found the SE 258 cam surfaces were worn down through the hardened surface and the bearings were shot from the fine metal going through the motor. Both jugs and piston skirts were scored pretty bad. Service manager at Patriot told me I probably didn't do the maintenance correctly and probably ran it for more than 10K before an oil change. Never even asked me what I actually did for maintenance.
So that's what ya get with an engine build at Patriot Harley of Fairfax, VA.

From the dealer:
"* Talked with the Extended Service Plan people this morning. They are sending out an investigator to see about the damage. This is where we are for the moment. Once the investigator has come and given his blessing or curse I will let you know."
Trying for ESP because of low mileage.
Cross fingers, toes and what have you.

Just my opinion but if things roll there is little friction. If the case hardening goes thru, it was not done correctly since the rollers are like hard like glass and the surface should be similar they roll on. It was too soft to beging with to let it go thru. Oil would need to be like grinding paste and strangley the soft wears the hard, not the other way. Soft cast iron laps hard steal since the abrasive can get in the surface of soft to lap hard. When both are correct an oil film prevents any wear since the film keeps the too metals apart and they literally float on the film

Please let us know the final outcome. Many are following the 120R as they've great results so far. Could this be the fluke? Sure. But folks start wondering when they hear stories like this one. Hope it turns out well for you.
