120r
Crate motor
Supertrapp Supermeg
SE Heavy Breather
No burnouts
No wheelies
Rev limiter twice 6250 rpm
>4500 rpm less than 10 times
3000 km on oil - Amsoil MCV
15000 km (kilometers, not miles)
Cam chest tab came off.
Needs cams, oil pump, new front cylinder and piston.
Paid $12,000 (Canada) with Rivera Primo Clutch, SE Compensator, 58 mm TB, injectors, and Supertrapp.
Professional tune (Lonewolf) went from 123 hp/ 118 ftlb to 131 hp / 130 ftlb.
At least I still have my stock 96 at home.
I don't know what direction to go.
I'm pretty much aghast. I don't make the stupid big money anymore.
Sent Lonewolf the pictures for his opinion and analysis. We have a plan if need be.
I'm on an iPad. So I can't attempt a picture upload. Dealer stated a metal fragment killed oil pump, cams, and blocked rear cylinder jet - killing front cylinder.

WOW, thats a big $ hit IMO. But it sounds like the same thing could have happened with the OE engine.
After owning and riding a bike like yours with 131/130 I dont know if I could ever be happy with a stock engine again
Best of luck, post what you end up doing.
If I ever had that kind of $ Id love to do a 120R or at least a FM 107 (a lot less $, but still more than I can justify right now)

FLHXHS,
Sorry to hear about your loss - the 120R. Glad you have a plan to get back on the road and you have your 96 on the ready. I do have one question though; Can you let us know if this is a 120R crate motor that ends in -11 (for production date) or a -12 (for a production date). I read that the 12 had some tweaking done to it, most important a better oiling system.
Thanks
Bryant
