Has anyone here done it to their bike? If so what are your likes/dislikes of it?
Was looking into doing it to my bike since it is not permanent and I like to change things up when i am bored with them.
I am only looking for peoples input that have experience with vinyl wraps. I know there are alot of people that dont like the idea but I am not concerned with that. So please dont tell me how ghetto and cheap that you think it looks.
When I bought my new trike in July, I had the dealership apply vinyl protectors to the fender and box area on the back of the bike. Even though the guy who did the job had been trained in the application of the product, it looked like doo-doo. The edges were rough and irregular, there were many, many bubbles, there were little flecks of dirt under the plastic, and one edge was lifting. I spoke with an auto body man that I know and he said that it is very difficult to apply this stuff to a surface that curves in two directions. In the end, I took it back to the dealer and complained. The dealer was great to deal with and asked me what I wanted to do about the situation. I asked them to remove the wrap that looked bad and I would leave the wrap that looked alright in place. He gave me my money back. Now that I have been driving the bike for a couple of months the stuff that we left in place still looks pretty decent. I guess that is kind of a mixed review, but, that's how I feel about the product.
