I also have the Throttleup adapters with my mm651s. Remember, the mm651um will not work. Must be the mm651s. They work perfect. Mount the adapter on the bike. Attach the speaker on with lower screw and mark upper two screws for drilling. No problem. Worked great. Remember, the inner lower screw ( the one closest to the radio on each side) is not used.
i got all 4 scews in.....is this somewhat wrong....could it be affecting my speakers performance...

which adapters WILL work with the 651um ? Reason I ask is they are 4ohm and I am planning to run 4 of them (fairing and lowers) in my rgc with the j&m 500w 4 ch.
With the MM651UM the tweeter is connected to the grill so the grill must be used (prevents water from getting in around the tweeter stalk in the middle). I do not see a way to use them. I wish they were available in 5.25" bucause I would use them in the rear.
what he said. The tweeter is mounted in the grill and is not attached to the speaker itself. I was going to use those, but found this out and switched to the mm651's.
Anyone have these speakers in the tour pak pods? I've ordered them thinking I could get some from Hard Ride Audio but he seems to think they won't work in his adapters for some reason.
Speakers should be here this week and I'm going to try and fit them in with no adapter if possible.
