I'm looking for advice on windscreens for my 2011 SG. I currently have the stock 'deflector' on it. I'm only 5'10", so I'm not looking for something tall. I would like to keep the 'low profile' look but have a screen that works. I've looked at the klockwerks but thought I would ask here before spending the $$
I just got the 6" Windvest and I'm 5'9". It totally got rid of the buffeting and now clean air hits me at the top of my helmet (which is good, as the vents on top of my helmet can work). I've only had it for a week, but I'm very happy with it (so far I've had the bike up to 75mph with it).
I could have gone with larger (I would have still been able to see over it), but I wanted to keep more of low profile look too. You can see it in my sig.
I am 5'8" and I have the KW6.5...works great for me. Find a dealer that have them for demo, take a couple out for a ride. You'll know which one is right for you as soon as you get above 65.
There are many options... I am also 5'10" and Im currently using the 10" LRS Stealth (longrideshields.com). It is the tallest I would go on this type of windshield. I still look over it and it is not on my line of sight. The 9" Stealth was as tall as a 6"-7" normal windshield and did not provide enough protection.
Otherwise, I would look at the 8" LRS Ultra or Flat-Top. The 9" on these windshields was too tall and the 6" or 7" were marginal for protection.
Finding an optimal windshield (that you like) involves trial and error...
LRS has a 30% OFF sale with discount code "SPRINGSALE30". You can't beat their prices and service.
I have the LRS 8" and works great. They are also a sponsor and on sale right now. If you are on Belvoir you can swing by my office and see it.

6.5" Klock Werks works good for me. To improve the looks, I got it in solid black and feel it looks as good or better than the stock shield with much improved buffeting. I have an 8.5" KW shield too and don't feel it does much better than the 6.5" and have to contend with the heavy visual distortion due to the increased height. I'm about 5'11".
I patterned this shield off of a drag specialties mirrored shield and i believe it was a 6 inch one. I'm 5'10" myself and it works great, but i also have front fork air baffle, lowers, and side fork air deflectors.
