Here are a few pictures I took for the guy who asked about the O2 port locations. Also attached is a picture of the tool marks on the pipes.
I called V&H yesterday and they told me these tool marks are "normal"?!?!?!? I asked why not all of the power duals have these marks and he had no answer for that other than to tell me not to worry, the heat shields will hide all the blemishes.
I call bullshit and feel a little screwed but it is what it is. I just need to get over it!

Here are the tool marks. These marks are at every bend in the head pipe and goes around the entire diameter of the pipe. This is the only picture that came out half *** and some of the really bad gouges are already covered by the heat shields by the time I remembered to take a picture.

Here is a comparison of the OEM head pipe and port locations compared to the V&H head pipe port locations.

I just don't understand why they pot the rear cyl. O2 port all the way up there.

I have contacted FuelMoto, they sent me another map to try and I tried one of the dynojet stock maps. Still not right yet.
I happened to notice discoloring on the Rush slip on's when I installed the V&H Power duals. So I asked Rush about it and while I was at it, I mentioned the decel popping.
Ryan with Rush, responded that I need 2.00" baffles instead of the 2.5" baffles I have now and that the 2.5" baffle from Rush are impossible to tune?!?!

So I call Adam @ Rush to ask WTF and why did they sell me a product that will not run on my bike. Adam tells me that Ryan was wrong and should not tell me that. He said they can be tuned but are very difficult to get right.

So for right now, the bike is parked until I figure out what my next more is. I think I am going to get rid of the Rush pipes all together and go with something else.
Plus, the bike is so damn loud now, I am not sure if I like it yet. I am thinking it is too loud for riding any distance.

I just need to back away right now and look at the whole thing. I am in contact with FuelMoto, Rush Racing and a local Tuner who all have different ideas on what is wrong. Everything from an air leak where the muffler meets the head pipe to a bad tune or a tune just not right with the Rush pipes.

As far as I am thinking right now? I think the tune is not right BUT, I think it is because these Rush pipes are hard to get right. If I keep thinking this way, I am just going to go with something else. I might try and find a set of 2.00" baffles to try out first though and see if I can at least ride the damn thing till I can buy another set of slip on's.

The 2.5" inch baffles are meant for bike with the stock head pipes, that's your issue. The first guy from Rush was honest and the second guy was trying to cover their rear ends. The 2.0 baffles will also be quieter than what you have now. Start there, it's the cheapest option and I believe it will solve your issues. Jamie will be able to square you away with a map for the 2.0 baffle with no issue. If not just get a set of his 4" Jackpots with dyne tuned baffles and call it a day.

Sorry to hear about that...got to be frustrating.
FWIW I'm really happy with my Supertrapp slip-ons. Very deep, not too loud crusing, bark nice when you roll on the power. But...if it truely is the baffle diameter causing your problem, they are probably 2.5" as well.
I have a buddy that put the Rush true duals and slip-ons on his Ultra Limited and they were too loud for him...now he's looking for something else too.

Good luck!

I know what you mean. I can't believe how loud the true duals make the bike.

I have an '08 FLHTC and put the V&H dresser duals on over the winter. I've had the V&H basic slash cut slip-ons since day one and have put thousands of miles on the bike with these slip-ons and the oem head pipes. Love the sound.

With the true duals, these slip-ons are really too loud now.
Did a 200 mile ride a couple of weeks ago and our ears were bleeding at the end of the ride.

Called V&H and they said there's nothing to quiet the slip-ons but to try Big City Thunder baffles. Those are $130 and not sure I'll even like them.

Thinking of just going back to the oem mufflers that came on the bike.

Another option would be to just buy the Jackpot dyno tuned baffles for the Rush slipons
