Saddle bag lid catch rattles open.
Anyone else have this problem? The catch just doesn't close tight anymore. So if I hit some rough roads or if I'm going fast, probably has more vibration, the catch will open. Both sides does it.
Sometimes I will lock them with the key, which solves the problem, but is a pain to fish for the key every time we stop.

yeah, the hinge is fine. I actually just put on some new saddle bag lids with speakers, they still rattle open. I'll probably put another layer of foam weather stripping in there to tighten up the fit.
I keep 1-2 spare springs around, I've replaced a couple already. Did you notice if one latch feels different than the other?

You can actually bend the tabs to fix this !! My bag latches rattled like crazy when I put my speakers in. Took me a LONG time to figure this out. They snap over the round hinge part. See my bad photo.

I have the same problem with my 2012 Electra Glide, in my case the left latch is hard to close, first bump I hit latch flies open. No, I'm not going to lock it, when I take it in for my 1000 mile check the dealership is going to fix it. With accessories and cost of bike @ $25K I don't plan on digging around in my pocket for a damn key each time I close the latch.
