Default No rear brake light '08 SG

So my engine light on my 08 street glide was coming on and off over the last week or so. Everything seemed to be running fine and the light was coming on intermitently. I then was washing her down and checking all the lights, etc., when I noticed that my brake light wasnt coming on when hitting the brake at the lever or the foot brake.
I changed the bulb, no luck. I bought a new brake relay fuse and brake relay switch and installed, no luck. But after installing the new brake relay fuse, I get a clicking sound there when I hit the brakes. I am not getting any codes but am getting the following part numbers;
68920-07
67261-08
67459-04b
32933-08
I realized that I changed out the right side grip about the same time that the engine light started coming on so am guessing I must have flubbed something up there. I can't afford the stealers prices. Does anyone have any ideas? Please?
Thanks in advance for your help!

look at the pins where the tail lamp harness plugs in to the rear lamp, those pins corrode , or get bent, may not be making good contact, went through the same thing with my 07 street glide

Very good chance when you changed out your right grip you buggered up the brake switch on the handle. I believe the switch is a NC so when release the brake handle the handle contacts a *** on the switch and opens the circuit. Chances are you broke the *** off which is very commom. Check your front brake switch.

When you say "brake relay switch" are you referring to the pressure switch in the middle of the rear brake line?

op stated that hears a clicking sound when applying the brakes..wouldnt that be the brake light relay?... if the relay is respondidng wouldnt that indicate the brake light switch is working?...just guessing,, i am a classic example of a little info being dangerous

Default thats what I was thinking... Dawg

I am getting clicking at the brake relay fuse so was thinking, (dangerous for me), that the switch must be working. I just pulled off the bulb housing and wire. Looking at the housing close, it appears there was a little explosion in there... Brown and blackish. But I have a running light? I am going to run to the stealer, unfortunately without a brake light, and see if this housing is bad. Thanks for your help everyone. I really appreciate the quick replies. I will let you know what is up.

If you just want to check the housing, before running off to the dealer, just check it with a test light or voltmeter. It's easy to do. Remove the bulb, and test for power between the bulb contacts and the housing.

If your bulb is ok then you are probably going to find no power at the brake light contact. If that's the case you'll need to find the problem, i.e., open wire, bad switch, etc.

Smile I guess I am an idiot...

SO the closest stealer doesn't have the socket assembly for the rear brake bulb. He will gladly order it for me and will be there Friday for $35
I am thinking maybe the next closest dealer will have it and surely it will be open despite it being a Monday cause its been beautiful riding here in Colorado. Nope. They are closed. So am doing my hand brake signal the twenty mile ride back home.
The first couple of things i checked on to fix my problem were the bulb, and all of the fuses. None of the fuses looked burnt, new bulb didn't change anything. Replaced the brake relay fuse, put on a new brake relay switch, took off the housing on the front lever per the manual instructions. That looked fine. Put it back together and then I started getting a clicking sound from the Brake relay fuse. but no brake light. hmmmmm.
So on my way home from the closed dealer, I thought what the hell, I'll spend $10 bucks on a mess of 15 amp fuses from the auto parts store and change 'em all out although I kept telling myself that they all looked good. SO I did, and now we have a brake light.
What the hell? So I guess there is a lesson to the story here some where, like even though your fuses look good, maybe their not? I got 10 fuses for $10 so I s'pose I should have done that to begin with... missed two beautiful days of riding, but there is plenty more of that ahead of me. and the stealer didn't get a dime! Now I gotta get a half day in at work...
Thanks for all your tips. This forum is the best.
