Default Head buildup???

Hey fellow riders. I have a question and if this isn't the correct forum I apologize. I've been searching both here and the web and can't find anything of use.

I've got an 09 RK with about 5500 miles. For the last year I've been running a K&N intake similar to the HD Heavy breather.

Recently I removed said intake to install a new SE AC.....got bored with the K&N. When I removed the breather bolts they were caked with something that resembled gritty sludge.....kind of like soupy coffee grounds. I've never seen anything like that before in any of my bikes.

I change the oil at regular intervals, and have used Royal Purple Syn since the first oil change @ 1000 miles.

Now, It could be normal since the K&N intake uses the breather tube, and since i've never used that type of intake before I don't know.

So......should I be concerned? I bought a can of Seafoam but I'm not sure if I should use it in the tank to clean the fuel system or put it in the crankcase and change the oil.

The bike has a full stage I, slip-ons, AC, and tune but it does seem a little sluggish power wise.....but that could just be my imagination after seeing the crap come out of the heads

Any thoughts of suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

It's normal...The motor vents through those bolts any oil is vented to the throttle body.

you can change your sprockets from 32T/66T to 30T/68T if you want more peppy performance. The slug is basically dirty oil coming in from your case vents....oil is cheap...change it more often
