OK, yesterday I was tinkering with my bike. 2012 FLHX, decatted, fuel moto air intake kit, wild pig slip ons w/ 2 1/2" baffles and a map from Jamie at FM. I went into the map that jamie sent (no I didnt make a copy first...) and I lowered the idle. I also somehow got into a function that had the battery listed (charging maybe?) and hit reset and saved it. I went for a short ride after that and my battery light and the motor light came on. When I got back to the house I cleared the lights (dont ask me how because I dont remeber) and hooked it up overnight to the battery tender. All was good today as the wife and I headed out for a ride. About 8-12 miles down the road, the dang lights came back on and I also noticed some decell popping. I figured that it was running off the battery and I only has a limited distance to make it home before it died. We made it home and I tried to find the battery setting in the original stock settings that I do have a copy of but could not even find where there was a charging or battery setting.
I have sent an email to Jamie and will get a new map and HOPE that fixes it. I checked my battery terminal connections and they were tight so I have it hooked up to battery tender again.
Any ideas on what the heck I have done or how I might fix this? And yes, once I get it fixed, I will not touch my power vision again!!!!!
I have a feeling that you have a bad voltage regulator...Harley had a bad batch on some 2012 models...I don't think your power commander has any control over you charging system.

A lot of voltage regulators going out, mine has already been changed.... did you notice what your voltmeter was reading?
it may have been a trim. I noticed a few minutes ago, my battery tender is extreemely hot so I unplugged it. It has always gotten a bit warm but this was actuallu hot. Dont know whats going on but it sounds like a dealer trip is in store soon.
I think the voltage was 12 or so while riding. It normally rides at the 14ish level.
I wouldn't try to cause and effect anything on a harley....the knowledge would not prevent anything from crapping out on a harley in the future. I filled both tires yesterday with the correct air using my 50 dollar regulated air pump. The next day my radio stopped working. I should have used a hand pump???
