Before ordering the new glasses with clear lenses, I did the same as most the others, cheap clear safety glasses that wrap around with some foam. Seems to be pretty popular as 5 of my good friends do the exact same thing b/c it works well and it's cheap

Law enforcement/military ordering site. Everythings like 1/2 in-store prices https://secure.usstandardissue.com/P...ail.cfm?id=336
How do you like them so far? I just ordered mine last night...figured they'd be good for flightline, flying, and riding with the gasket and all. Plus it was time for some new Oakleys and $100+ on USSI is better than $200+on Oakley

Reason: forgot something
For myself I ride with 3/4 helment and face shield. I've been hit by bumble bees, wasps, rocks, sand, bugs, gravel from trucks (un covered), dirt clods (covered trucks with mud, gravel stuck between the tires), and mud.
I've been looking for a decent 1/2 helment with some form of snap on or built in eye wear as you say, not from China!!
(Got ripped from them and ain't doing it again.)
Call me a sissy if you want but I don't want to loose an eye to stylishness.
I've got a drawer full of old safety glasses from over the years. I bought a $37 pair of amber glasses from the stealer but they give me a headache if I have to wear them anymore then 15min. Have a few pair of Oakley and MSS from the AF that work great too.
i have a pair of photochromic lenses and they didn't work so well, they didn't seem to get quite light enough for me at night, i just use the clear safety glasses now for night riding.
I keep a cheap pair of Northern Tool safety glasses in my glove box but have been thinking about a pair of clear ansi gargoyles. About 60 bucks on ebay but the 5 dollar pair has done the trick whenever I've needed them and had my open face helmet on.
