Default Dead Battery

So my battery died the other day and this one has lasted me about two years now but before that I was replacing my batteries every year I'm wondering is there a battery that is better then the Oem Harley AGM battery that costs almost 200 bucks. or is that the battery I'm going to wait to go with?

Something is wrong there if your only getting one or two years out of our batteries. Better get your charging system checked or find out the proper way to care for a battery. Do you keep it on a Tender?

Before you decide the battery is dead, take it to the dealer and let them try charging it for you. You may get a surprise.

It is imperative that you keep the terminals (+/-) clean and tight.
A common problem is the ground cable coming loose where it grounds to the frame.

Another thing to keep in mind is proper charging of a dead agm battery.

If the battery is dead then you need to put another good battery in parallel with it (like you are jump starting) and charge both batteries at the same time. With the low internal resistance of an agm battery most battery chargers think he battery is bad (shorted) and go into a protection mode.

Take the battery to the HD dealer. They have a machine that will tell you if it is bad or not, should be a free service (was for me). I always keep mine on a tender if I'm not running every day. You should get more than 2 years out of a battery unless you have an ironhead. In that case, 2 years is about right.
