So my battery died the other day and this one has lasted me about two years now but before that I was replacing my batteries every year I'm wondering is there a battery that is better then the Oem Harley AGM battery that costs almost 200 bucks. or is that the battery I'm going to wait to go with?
Something is wrong there if your only getting one or two years out of our batteries. Better get your charging system checked or find out the proper way to care for a battery. Do you keep it on a Tender?
the harley battery is made by deka and sold under a bunch of different names,u should be able to find some older threads in here, telling were the best prices are(around 100) battery tenders or maintainers are your friend(not trickle chargers)u should get 5 years or better if u use one.

I have a tender and okay I'll look around and see if i can find the threads hopefully someone will post one of them in here
Another thing to keep in mind is proper charging of a dead agm battery.
If the battery is dead then you need to put another good battery in parallel with it (like you are jump starting) and charge both batteries at the same time. With the low internal resistance of an agm battery most battery chargers think he battery is bad (shorted) and go into a protection mode.
Take the battery to the HD dealer. They have a machine that will tell you if it is bad or not, should be a free service (was for me). I always keep mine on a tender if I'm not running every day. You should get more than 2 years out of a battery unless you have an ironhead. In that case, 2 years is about right.
Im not sure how thats operator error when the battery has been in there for over a year checked to make sure its not loose every time the seat is off...but okay
