I was riding the "Aggravation Train" this past weekend over my repairs, and it didn't stop when I got the bike back.

I was expecting the bike last weekend. They attempted to complete it Saturday, and did get it done Sunday. However the owner wrenched a shoulder and had to go to emergency and have his shoulder put back, and rested on Monday. Got the call on Tuesday.

I steamed all weekend and Monday.

I bit my tongue and listened to my wife ... "you want them to be friendly and do their best for you, then relax and let them".

"A week after you get the bike back it'll all just be a memory and you'll be having too much fun to think about it again."

Mine was behind two major jobs and then the tire took 2 extra days while waiting to be shipped with another order in that week.

I found two bolts not tightened down (kickstand & front gas tank), the inner primary still leaking (Thought it was a leaking drain plug to start but after taking it out for a test run the leak got serious again, but not at first), and somehow the primary chain adjuster shifted and overtightened the chain. I backed off the chain and traced the leak. It's back to the shop and being looked into right away.

Once again the wife attempts to keep me "patient" by telling me "it's something more in there that has an issue and they will know to find it and will do everything to fix it ... better to have it down right now than getting a few hundred miles from home".

BTW all the other work was carefully done and the issue is what it is. What's a day or week, or more, when it comes back hopefully we'll both be very pleased with the results for a long time!

My question is do you want it done right and be safe or do you want it done just so you can ride? Your turn.

I never would have taken an insurance claim to an Indy

Definitely better to wait and have things done right. I have to remind myself of that sometimes too.

Interesting - why not an Indy on an insurance claim?

Never let an Indy with too much time on his hands touch your bike.

Busy shops typically mean quality work is being done there.
