Default Smoking pipes???

I just installed Vance and Hines Slash Cut slip one on 2012 SG and I am getting a lot of smoke out of exhaust. Is this normal? Is there oils they used in manufacturing that just need to burn off?

I've had fresh mufflers smoke a little after shutting off the bike.

I've experienced the same, burned off after a ride or two, haven't seen it since. That was over a 1,000 miles ago. Can't explain it better, but its not uncommon when new out of the box.

Thanks guys. Went for a ride and the smoking went away. Im sure it was oils used to either preserve or manufacture pipes just burning off.
