1. what is the toggle switch on the triple tree just below the steerer lock? I cant seem to make it do anything.
2. what is the aluminum cover that houses the speedo, ignition, and runs down the center of the tank called? What are my replacement options? Mine is dinged up from whatever the cop had on his duty belt in the front (tazer maybe).
On the LEO motors for the county I live in the toggle switch allows the officers to kill the headlight while the motor is still live.
I think it's pretty standard, but also believe the toggle can be used for other similar applications to control certain items that would normally operate while the ignition/motor are on. But, mostly the headlight. It's intended to help conserve the battery during traffic stops as well, as they don't leave the bike running, but need to have power on to run their pursuit/warning lights.
At least that's what my sheriff acquaintances informed me.
