Bought a 2009 Road King today
Now I am trying to figure out which bar to put on.
I really wanna put a beach bar on the bike, but for the hell of it I just can't find the measurements of the HD beach bar to compare with the aftermarket ones.
Does anyone know the pull back of the HD beach bar?
I love my beach bars, just be careful when making a U turn....be sure to pull your leg away from the tank first. Once you make that a habit, you're good to go!!
I hope this helps. I have the HD Beach Bars for my 06 Road King. Absolutely love them. I am about 5'10" and they fit me to the bike very well. They measure 38" from bar end to end. I measured from the center of the riser, straight back and got about 14" to the end of the bars. I have put over 10,000 miles on the bike with them installed and never have had them hit my knees or my belly. I do have Jaybrake FL forward controls (removed the floorboards) on the bike so that may be why though.
Snirtman, you are able to use the same clutch cable. I had to change the brake line for a 90 degrees banjo fitting. No wiring extension or new TBW connector needed.
My 07 had them on there when I bought it. I tried to like them but the felt like plow handles and I felt like I was coming into a landing at a stop light. Very wobbley, to wide for me I guess. Pulled them off and I like it a lot better. They do look good on a RKC.
