Default easy 1/2 hour mod

Well guys i got tired of dragging my floor board mounts, due to having the eglide goodies extenders on, so i crawled under the bike scratched my head, and realized my feet rest at an angle, with toes slightly out , and heels in...So i removed the rear spacer onthe right side, pried slightly on the channels on the floorboard, drilled one size over onthe floor boards and remounted......now the rear mount is 1 inch farther in and allows more lean angle.....did the same on the left, but added 2 spacer washers on the rear mount so both boards are symetrical, and more lean angle on the left...best of both worlds now, still have wide boards in the front but can lean the bike just like before i put the extenders on......JMHO

Very clever-- I'll bet 80-90% of riders actually ride with toes out/heel in a bit and now that I think about it I do too.
It's just a more natural position that feet parallel with the bike/boards.

That mod is so good I'm going to look into that as well. Thank You.

Just remember the bottom edge low point of those boards are a lean angle warning. Scrap the mounts too hard and catch one you might cantilever the rear tire.

That is why i did the mod, the first thing to drag on my 09 in the rear board mount on the right side... on my pan the boards would drag and fold up so you had a warning.....i havent tested it yet, but hopefully with the rear mount moved in the board will drag first instead of the mount..

There are plenty of before and after pics on the eglide website.... how about some "after" pics with the change after your mod?

One of the main things holding me back from installing the extenders on my bike, is the concern for losing cornering angle from the bike because of the extender sticking out further....
I scrape and wear the corners on my floorboards in a stock setup, I don't want my floorboards making contact even sooner...
If your mod mitigates or eliminates that lost angle.... then I'm good to go
