Only one problem with them. The company doesn't have ice and snow tires for them so that you can ride all year round in the colder climates. You're gonna love it.
Now Bob, thar's a specific warnin' on the UC owners' manuals:
"WARNIN'!! Yankees what buy this-heah mochine are hereby advised ta buy sum GOOD cold-weather ridin' gear, 'cuz ya'll ain't gonna wanna quit ridin' in the winter time! Ya'll Southron Gentlemen what show the sense God gave a road-killed possum will be nice ta yer lower-intellect nawthern brothers, an' advise 'em of how much fun it is ta ride year-round!"
So, per the manual -
HEY, BOB - OUR HIGH TODAY IS GONNA BE 75 DEGREES!!!
Dang - ah may hafta wear a long sleeve shirt......[sm=happybounce.gif]
Ottawa the third coldest capital city in the world. Last night it didn't go below freezing so I rode to work this morning in the pouring rain well before the sun came up. Visability was questionable [sm=yikesomg.gif]but I rode my bike on the 5th of January. Ya gotta be dedicated. I wore a long sleeve sweat shirt....under about 50 pounds of leather jacket, over pants, boots, gloves and neck warmer. The shorty helmet did give me bad hair for the office. But I rode to work and get to ride home. Gotta ride when you can.[sm=happy046.gif]
Must be nice to have warm weather and visability at the same time.[sm=bounceybounce.gif]
I'm pretty sure this won't be a popular statement but -
It's always been said and makes great sense to me "Never buy a first year production car or bike" for two reasons - 1. You'll pay premium with no discounts for the latest and greatest. 2. More often than not there will be mechanical problems that will need to be worked out and that gets done in the first year - (such as tranny whine etc, etc).
Although, HD has a tendency to close their eyes to small production mis-ques as though they will fix themselves and go away on there own. They will make statements like "Well that's to be expected it's a SIX speed transmission" as though a sixth speed ad's whine automatically - LOL ... Some of the **** you hear from these sales droids will just make your jaw DROP...
