I started using it on my 07 Black FLHT when it was new with no issues. I hose the bike down first & use it all over the bike, "BUT" not on the dash, seat & windshield. I let it sit for 30 seconds & hose down real good. Then I use HD's SunWash I use a wash mit. I aslo use all of there products. Good luck.

I like the S100 'engine' stuff. It works well. You have to wipe it off the chrome else it leaves a film, but it's easy to do.

The S100 cleaner is not my favorite. I've used it just once, and have the rest of the bottle sitting on a shelf. I thought I could spray it on, and rinse it off (and I'd be out riding, and my neighbor would be jealous that I was riding, and he wasn't. Instead, I was still rubbing at the stuff, sweating like a pig, when he came by, on his bike, and asked me: "What's that s**t all over your bike?")

Dawn dish washing detergent is great at removing grease/oil. That's why its so great for dishes and cleaning birds after an oil spill. BUT, because it's a degreaser, it will also lift wax.

I have used S100 wash ever since it became available many years ago. So have my friends. None of us ever had a problem with it. And I know a few who let it dry for hours before rinsing it off. No problems. No marks. Cleaned just fine.

I used it once. Spray the entire bike with it then rinse down with cold water. Let it sit to dry and then polish it with wizards.
It worked well, Ill continue using it.

Been using S100 bike wash for years on three different black bikes. I spray it everywhere on the bike. Sits for 2-3 minutes. Never any problems or issues.

S100 and aluminum do not like each other. A simple Google search will give you enough info to make an intelligent decision.

I have been using it since 06 when I started riding.. Buy it by the gallon now, use just shy of one spray bottle for each wash. Dry cool bike, soak it with S100 top to bottom. drag out the hose and rinse the **** out of it. Leaf blower it dry, wipe down most of it with 3M Quick Wax. Looks like new every time and takes about 20 minutes, never an issue.
When it's really dirty (rarely) I use Meguires car was soap.

Never a spotting issue or a chrome peeling issue or any issue with it for that matter, except a nice shiny and constantly commented on bike. It is not harsh as some mention. Any spotting from leaving it on too long is based on concentration of product. To each his own.
I've used it for at least 20 years, maybe longer if it's been around that long. Started out using it on my Husky XC bikes. It's the best stuff I ever used, period. No offense, but if you're having trouble with it you probably should read the instruction manual that came with your hose too.

With the slightest input of common sense it's goof proof. I never read the manual and didn't know you weren't supposed to use it on some parts of the bike. As I said, I have used it all over for years with no hint of a problem.

Of course you don't let it dry. Would you let soap dry on your bike? Just hose it off before it dries for goodness sakes. It ain't rocket surgery...
