S100
I've been using S100 for pushing twenty years. Never had an issue. Always wash the bike in the shade, and leave in on five minuets or so. Always make sure your bike is cold. Rinse and blow dry, followed by a quick towel.
I just read the instructions on HD engine brightrner: wash thoroughly, let dry completely, spray on engine brightener, allow 5-10 minutes to flash off before starting engine. No mention of washing it off after application. I did this about a week ago, engine looks better than it did before, but no miracle.

Wife bought me some S100 wash for Father's day and I tried it for the first time last weekend. Made sure entire bike was wet and sprayed on everything but seat, dash and bars areas. Gave it about a minute and quickly rised of making a few trips around the bike with lots of water and HOLY ****!!!! Looks like it is brand new. Was kinda gunshy first time with soak time but now am comfortable with 2 to 3 minutes if in shade and thuroughly wet and cool before application.

Not a big fan of s100... For me, dawn dish washing liquid and a soft brush works just as well for what I would use S100 for...engine/exhaust area.
I guess the reason I stay away from s100 is the same reason I don't use the touch-less car washes...To get the vehicle clean without touching it, you have to do it through a chemical means....Those touch-less car washes use tons of alkaline in their soap, it has always given my cars a hazy appearance afterwards.
I don't know what s100 uses, but I'll pass on it.

The other side of that coin, is the more you touch paint and chrome with wash and polish cloths etc....even micro fiber is great at picking up a small sand pebble, the more the micro and larger scratches and swirls over time. S-100 and a blow dry works for me! S-100 is not as harsh as some make it out to be. Its concentrated. Thats what makes us all different!
Different strokes.....
