The dealer in Lynchburg, Va has one too. It made me think of the East Carolina University Pirates. I like it, but wouldn't want it as my own really just because I'm not crazy about that style of flames. I like the ghost flames in some paint jobs, just not the ones on this new paint scheme.
As for purple Harleys... they offer a Shrine edition in purple in multiple models every year. You just have to find a Shriner to order one and sell it to you after he buys it.

Yep, true. I bought mine from a shriner a few years back and made a couple changes to it so it would suit me. I wasen't a big fan of purple, but I never could bring myself to paint it or sell it. It's kind of a love hate relationship. I was told when I bought it that they only made 100 of them that year (2001), I haven't found anything to support that though.
Does anyone know about how many street glides are made in the 2012.5 custom collection color for the deep purple and flame??
I have a 2012.5 Electra glide Ultra Limited in deep purple with flames. I called Milwaukee and they told me there are 212 of these produced. But they are also available in the Heritage Classic and there were 212 of them produced as well.
Here is mine.. I get alot of compliments on it. I see one other with the same colors and thats it. I like that there isnt a 100's in my area that look like it
I know this is an old thread but I just came across it.
Last August I bought a leftover 2012 Fat Boy with the same colors.
I personally hated the colors at first but got a great deal on it. but after a few changes it looks great. I'm not sure of how to post a picture but mine looks great. I've seen it in a Road glide and an Electra glide and a Soft tail Deluxe and I think the Fat Boy looks the best with the Street Glide coming in second and the Soft Tail Deluxe looks Plum Ugly. No pun intended.
It has Vance & Hines Big Shots Long and a Stage IV Race kit and is dyno'ed at over 100/100 HP/Torque.
and it also has a few more goodies. LOL
