So i can just go to Walmart and buy Mobil-1 20-50? As long as it's not energy conserving?

The energy conserving thing is more of a metric bike issue. Harley the clutch is separate from the engine oil. That being said I only run motorcycle specific oil in mine. These things run hot and oil designed for air cooled VTwins takes that into account so the additive package is different.
So. I've begun testing engine oils. For break in on my 106 I used plain old pennzoil 20w-50. Just changed it out for the revered mobil 1 v-twin oil and I can honestly say my valvetrain sounds like a can of marbles bouncing around in there.
I have 300 kms on the oil and am seriously considering changing it out. Mobil 1.....hype and millions of advertising dollars. Junk. Pennzoil was much more quiet which tells me a thicker cushion of oil on the top end.
I have amsoil up next, then red line.
Funny thing is that it didn't sound like this til the mobil 1 went in.
this is a pretty touchy area....if you have the dealer service the bike , they will use "Harley" oil, and the general perception is that giving your dealer the buisness will help establish relations in the event you have a warranty issue....some folks squeeze in upgrades during warranty opportunities, etc.
smart asses, like me, do our own work, don't buy services plans, have bikes that are not under warranty , and we put in what ever oil we feel like putting in the bike. I would not listen to me.....if you need warranty work..I'm not going to do it for you.

That is what i am using now, works well, keeps things fairly quiet. Love the color, lol!
Too bad you don't live close. I would have given you 2 qts of it. I tried it 2 years ago and my clutch kept grabbing. The engine was OK although it wasn't quiet. I drained it after 100 miles and went back to Mobil1.
